SWM Series Internal & External Longitudinal and Circumferential Seam Submerged Arc Automatic Welder

Product Overview

Solve your business pain points through innovative technical solutions

The SWM series internal & external longitudinal and circumferential seam submerged arc automatic welder is mainly used for automatic welding of internal longitudinal seams, external longitudinal seams, and circumferential (girth) seams of pipelines and pressure vessel shells. The system is composed of a cross-type cantilever welding machine, powered roller beds, ultra-compact submerged arc welding heads and submerged arc welding power source, vision system, etc. With the ultra-compact submerged arc welding head, it can extend into the interior of pipes and vessels with a minimum inner diameter of Φ300 to perform internal longitudinal or circumferential seam welding. The inner weld formation can then be viewed on the operator panel via the vision system, providing excellent operating convenience and welding stability.

Welding Quality

Strict process standards ensure the reliability of every weld

  • Inspection passed: Good welding quality; welds pass RT/UT inspection.
  • Mechanical properties: Meet the requirements of pressure tests or mechanical property tests such as impact, tensile, and bend tests.
  • Neat appearance: Welds have an attractive profile, free from porosity, undercut, cracks, slag inclusions, incomplete penetration, lack of fusion, and other defects.
