China Power Construction Nuclear Power Company: Saudi Jafurah Project Uses Model-Led Approach to Build a Belt and Road Quality Benchmark

At this critical stage in building a new-type power system, China Power Construction Nuclear Power Company has integrated a model-led mechanism into the whole-cycle management of the Saudi Jafurah project. Guided by the principle of “model-led, pursuing excellence and innovation,” it implements the quality policy of “first-class work, first-class products” to set a benchmark for the high-quality development of Belt and Road projects.

In the building discipline, physical mock-ups are used to achieve “millimeter-level precision” in foundation excavation, waterproofing and other processes, ensuring precise excavation elevations and smooth laying of waterproof membranes; the mechanical discipline has established a standardized system that pays close attention to details in equipment leveling and welding monitoring, resulting in aesthetically formed welds and standardized installation of outer protective plates that meet a “zero leakage” standard; the electrical and instrumentation discipline focuses on details such as bolt torque and cable laying, which are all carried out in accordance with standards, with panels and cabinets arranged neatly and enclosed bus ducts calibrated to millimeter accuracy.
