The BHLM series gantry-type longitudinal and circumferential seam automatic welding machine is mainly used for longitudinal seam welding of pressure vessel shells after plate rolling, as well as circumferential seam welding between the shell and heads or flanges at both ends. The equipment consists of a gantry-type welding main unit, driving roller beds, an integral base, welding power sources, etc. For circumferential seams, the roller beds drive the workpiece to rotate while the welding torch remains relatively fixed; for longitudinal seams, the workpiece remains stationary while the gantry-type main unit moves the welding head horizontally for welding. When additionally equipped with a chuck-type positioner, it can also perform automatic welding of pipe-to-pipe and pipe-to-fitting joints, featuring multi-functionality in one machine, a wide range of applicable workpieces, simple operation, and easy learning and use.

  • Qualified inspection: Good welding quality; weld seams pass RT/UT inspection.
  • Mechanical properties: Meet the requirements of pressure tests or mechanical property tests such as impact, tensile, and bending.
  • Appearance and forming: Weld seams are well-formed and aesthetically pleasing, with no porosity, undercut, cracks, slag inclusions, incomplete penetration, lack of fusion, or other defects.

Welding method
The workpiece rotates, and the welding torch oscillates left and right or remains stationary to weld circumferential seams.
The workpiece remains stationary while the welding head travels left and right and the torch oscillates forward and backward to weld longitudinal seams.
